Announcing the PMAssist x MasterKey Scholarship: Investing in the Future of Property Management
At MasterKey Property Management, we’ve always believed that strong businesses don’t operate in isolation. The healthiest companies help strengthen the industries they serve.
That belief is what led to the creation of the PMAssist x MasterKey Scholarship—an annual program designed to support and elevate property management professionals who are actively building, refining, or scaling their businesses.
How This Scholarship Began
The idea behind this scholarship started with a simple clarification.
As part of our partnership with Crane, Crane members now receive access to the PMAssist Substack as part of their membership. When Robert Dell’Osso, CEO of MasterKey Property Management, reached out to confirm whether his individual PMAssist subscription was still needed, the answer was straightforward: no.
What happened next was not.
Rather than cancel and move on, Robert asked whether that subscription could be used to help another property manager. That question shifted the conversation from logistics to purpose—and became the foundation for something more meaningful than a one-time gesture.
Introducing the PMAssist x MasterKey Scholarship
In partnership with PMAssist, we established the PMAssist x MasterKey Scholarship, an annual program that awards three property management professionals a full year of access to the paid PMAssist Substack.
This scholarship exists because access to high-quality, experience-based education matters—especially for operators navigating growth, change, and system-building inside their businesses.
The best partnerships don’t just create efficiency. They create opportunities to do what’s right for the broader community.
Who This Scholarship Is For
This program is designed for residential property management professionals who are:
Actively involved in day-to-day property management operations
Owners, operators, or key decision-makers within their organization
In a growth, transition, or system-building phase
Able to clearly explain how deeper access to PMAssist content would support their business right now
Applicants may apply on their own behalf or nominate another property manager.
Who Is Not Eligible
To keep the program focused and fair, the following are not eligible:
Vendors or service providers
Current paid PMAssist Substack subscribers
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected based on:
Clarity and thoughtfulness of their application responses
Alignment with PMAssist’s mission and content
The potential impact on their business and leadership development
Important Dates
Applications close: February 7
Recipients announced: February 14
